2016 was an excellent vintage for red Burgundies and Bouchard's Bourgogne rouge is a perfect example of a rising tide lifting all wines. Ripe and pretty, with a mildly earthy, red berried, fruity nose that leads to nicely concentrated flavors that are supported by moderately firm tannins and solid persistence on the attractively complex finish. Very fine quality at this level of Bourgogne.
