Fwd: Magic French Quartet from Bordeaux, the Loire Valley and the Rhone.

I pre-selected those four French winners   in France in December and now they have arrived , 2 beautiful whites (one from Bordeaux, one from the Loire Valley) and 2 beautiful reds (one from Bordeaux and one from the Rhone)
All FOUR excellent VALUES

2011 MAS DE BOUZON "LES GALETS DE SAUVETERRE" SINGLE VINEYARD RED COTES DU RHONE $14.95- This is NO regular Cotes du Rhone, think "poor man's Chateauneuf du Pape", a full-bodied, spicy, rich and smooth extremely versatile dinner red. DRINK NOW-2020

2009 CH GREYSAC MEDOC RED BORDEAUX $22.95-  Classic and classy, this gorgeous Medoc has deep ruby garnet color with notes of cedar, berries and spicy chocolate, full-bodied yet charming, received 89/100 from both WS and WA, great to drink now( it's 5 years old from the great 2009 vintage)or cellar it in its individual wood crate. DRINK NOW-2025

Copy food and wine mag quote on Greysac: "Greysac. One of the wines you can always trust"

2010 VINCENT VATAN POUILLY FUME WHITE LOIRE VALLEY $22.95-  There is Sauvignon Blanc and then...there is....Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc where the expression of that grape reaches incredible levels of complexity. Vatan Pouilly Fume is full-bodied without being heavy displaying gorgeous meyer lemon, herb, straw and mineral flavors that race through the smooth lengthy finish. There is NO better wine in the world with fish and seafood than Loire Valley whites. DRINK NOW-2020

2012 CHATEAU BELLEVUE-ENTRE DEUX MERS-WHITE BORDEAUX $13.95-  Don't bother saving the cork when you open this beauty...we NEVER do! Entre Deux Mers is arguably the best subregion for whites in Bordeaux and Chateau Bellevue is NO exception. 80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon. Intense nose of citrus fruit and flowers, very perfumed on the palate, fresh, supple, crisp and clean aftertaste, a DANGEROUS WINE! And what a GORGEOUS/CLASSY label. DRINK NOW-2017

Sante !
